GBI "Dares to Dream" at the 2005 Dealer Conference
September 19-20, 2005
The GBI Cincinnati 2005 Dealer Conference was held September 19 and 20 in Cincinnati, Ohio at the GBI Headquarters and Maketewah Country Club.
With a theme of “Dare to Dream”, Kevin Bevan, President of GBI Cincinnati, kicked off the activities Monday morning offering a vision of just how successful the company can be with the support of strong dealers, the introduction of the new Cincinnati Lamb FTV-5 machines and the addition of the complete Feeler line.
The rest of Monday morning was devoted to product presentations and the introduction of GBI Cincinnati as the Exclusive Master Distributor of Feeler Machine Tools in North America. Jimmy Chu, the President of Feeler Machine Tools, addressed the dealers at Maketewah Country Club to review the comprehensive Feeler line and offer the company’s complete commitment to building the finest machine tools in the world. Kevin Bevan reinforced what a valuable addition the Feeler line is to the product offerings of the GBI dealers.
In the afternoon, everyone ventured out to Maketewah’s challenging Donald Ross’ designed course for an enjoyable round of golf. The competition consisted of an 18-hole scramble event, followed by drinks on the patio, dinner and a prize presentation inside Mak’s historic clubhouse.
The balance of the product presentations were completed at Maketwah Tuesday morning. In the afternoon, the group traveled to GBI’s showroom to view various Cincinnati Lamb and Feeler machines in action. On display were an FV-580, TV-510, VM-32, and an FTC-10, with GBI’s top technical people available to answer questions and provide additional information.
The festivities were concluded with an entertaining night at Great American Ballpark watching the Cincinnati Reds come from behind to defeat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-5. In summary, the conference was a smashing success and GBI Cincinnati looks forward to a record year for GBI and our dealers in 2006.
