GBI Cincinnati Dealer Council meeting Held at Dale Earnhardt Industries in Mooresville, North Carolina
August 12-13, 2004
"Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success."
- Henry Ford
GBI Cincinnati held its Second Annual Dealer Council Meeting at Dale Earnhardt Industries (DEI) in Mooresville, North Carolina. Playing a most generous host for this year’s assembly, DEI, one of Nascar’s most celebrated driving teams, welcomed GBI and thirty of their dealer representatives for the two day event.
Following the kick-off reception dinner on Wednesday evening, DEI’s Trophy Room served as home for the Council Meeting meals and activities. With a clear focus on the growth of both new product line offerings and continued customer support, GBI presented a wealth of new opportunities in product availability. Cincinnati Lamb’s Vice President of Global Distribution, Ron Hoffman, introduced several new product lines including Cincinnati Lamb’s FTV and CFV lines, as well as providing an overview of the existing U.S. product lines. GBI has partnered with two of Europe’s most experienced and successful manufacturing companies, Danobat and Trimek S.A., and their respective product lines were debuted at Dealer Council. Danabat’s CNC Horizontal Lathe line and their unique Valvecenter lines were highlighted. Trimek S.A., headquartered in Vitoria, Spain, and the most recent of GBI’s successful partnerships, was also introduced, highlighting their Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) line and demonstrating their DataPixel Non-Contact Measuring System and OptiScan software packages.
GBI’s Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) was presented as the latest device established to maintain a superior level of customer service and support. The CRM allows full history and maintenance records to be accessed for every machine and every customer in the system, searchable by serial number. Additional customer related services include TechSolve, which offers lean manufacturing and machine optimization, and Cincinnati Lamb’s Freedom E-Log Machine Monitoring System.
A tour of the DEI Facility was another standout of the gathering. Attendees were able to see the Cincinnati Lamb machines in use at DEI, and the parts produced to ensure the top performance of the DEI driving teams. A special thank you goes out to Carol Roth, DEI’s Sponsor Liaison, and Roberto Gomez for their extra attention and contribution to the 2004 Dealer Council Meeting success.
