GBI Cincinnati’s C.F.O. Bob Whiting, National Service Manager Ron Pieper, and Product Technician Carl Capps traveled to Windsor, Canada, to share in the “Birthday” celebration festivities for St. Clair College’s Ford Center for Excellence in Manufacturing (FCEM).
The college’s new $32.5 million addition was designed to accommodate 1300 students. It boasts a state of the art training facility to educate the next generation of technology professionals and allows students the opportunity to earn a four-year degree (in Industrial Management) for the first time in the college’s nearly fifty year history.
GBI Cincinnati is responsible for providing the eleven state-of-the-art CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines used in training students in the FCEM. The union of St. Clair College’s geographic location Windsor, Ontario, Canada is the Die Mold Capital of North America and the presence of Cincinnati Lamb machines in this dynamic educational facility provides a running start to ensure the greatest potential for continued excellence and growth in manufacturing technology.
GBI and St. Clair College have enjoyed a forward thinking, prosperous and results-oriented relationship since GBI’s inception. GBI is proud to support the efforts of St. Clair College and the FCEM, and looks forward to growing their partnership for many years to come.
