Cincinnati Shows Support with Scholarships

Windsor, ON - As part of the ongoing support for the FCEM, GBI Cincinnati Inc., President Kevin Bevan presented a cheque to Kim Willis-More, Supervisor of Development and Alumni Relations. Bevan, and Cincinnati's National Service Manager, Ron Pieper, handed over a generous contribution to the Centre's scholarship fund mere hours before the “lights went out” on Thursday, August 14th. Cincinnati Inc. is responsible for the 11 state-of-the-art CNC (computer numerical control) machines that were recently installed on the Centre's “shop floor.” According to FCEM Project Manager, Dan White, “CNC is a crucial part of the training for the students.” Over the next five years, Bevan has promised to champion what he believes will be the best training, with the best equipment.

“Any machine tool builder would die to have their equipment showcased in the FCEM,” Bevan said during his visit. “And we believe our investment will pay off in the long run when the students move out of the program and into the workplace.”
