Delivers Big Performance The new Arrow Series 2 VMC-500 features the exclusive Ultimate Performance technology, including digital vector servos, Profibus I/O interface and maintenance-free guideways, offering the most affordable technology for the life of the machine tool investment. The digital vector spindle drive system eliminates the need for a gearbox, while providing high torque at low rpms. The self-cooled, brushless motor lets you run a wide range of power up to 30 Hp Max (22 kW), 25 Hp MTDR (18.5 kW). The drive system provides constant torque output regardless of load, maintaining high acc/dec rates throughout the speed range. Full torque is available at zero and maximum power is typically 225 percent of continuous power for a full minute. Maintenance-free linear guideways, with sliding friction as low as 1/50 of conventional guideways, reduce stick-slip for accurate positioning and high-definition milling at high feed rates. The Siemens A2100 control is standard. Back to Top
Ultimate Performance Technology The Arrow Series 2 VMC-1000 offers increased power and spindle acceleration, enhanced rapid traverse and acc/dec performance, fast metal-to-metal tool change times and fast axis drives. In addition, the machine is equipped with an all-new performance package. The new electrics, including Profibus I/O interface technology, reduces wire terminations, improves safety and simplifies maintenance. Tried and tested, the components are installed in more than 3 million users worldwide. The digital vector spindle drive provides 30 Hp Max (22 kW), 25 Hp MTDR. Improved spindle acceleration allows the 40 series spindle to reach 8,000 rpm in just 1.8 seconds. The drive system provides constant torque regardless of load. Process-matching feedrates of 590 ipm (15,000 mm/min) are combined with rapid traverse rates up to 1416 ipm (36 m/mm). The acc/dec rates are increased up to 70 percent. Enhanced operator convenience features include high-intensity lighting and end panel windows for increased visibility within the machining area. In addition, an integral workstation tray is incorporated into the control station. The Siemens A2100 control is standard. Back to Top
VMC-1500 Provides Big Part Machining Capability The 50-taper Lancer VMC-1500 CNC is built for heavy-duty machining applications. Equipped with a large 30" wide by 70" long worktable, the machine handles loads up to 5,512 lb (2500 kg) within its large XYZ range of 60 x 30 x 30". Linear scales are standard on the X- and Y-axes, optional on Z, providing positioning accuracy of ±0.00016" (+/-0.004mm) and repeatability of ±0.00004" (±1 micron). Standard linear guideways reduce sliding friction to 1/50 that of conventional guideways, reducing stick-slip for accurate positioning and high definition milling at feedrates up to 590 imp (15 m/min). Vector servo-axis drives are coupled with powerful self-cooled AC servo motors to provide rapid traverse of 945 ipm (24 m/min). The 30 Hp (22.4 kW) MTDR spindle motor is self-cooled and brushless. Maximum power is typically 225 percent of continuous power for a full minute. The drive system provides constant torque output regardless of load, maintaining high acc/dec rates throughout the Lancers standard 6,000 rpm or optional 8,000 rpm spindle range. The Siemens A2100 is standard. Back to Top
Improves Productivity and Profitability at an Affordable Price The Hawk® TC-150 is designed to improve shop productivity and profitability by delivering enhanced technology and performance at an affordable price. The machines advanced features include a true 45 degree slant bed for superior rigidity, vibration damping and chip removal efficiency. The latest low friction guideway technology enables faster processing with micron-level precision. Repeatability is ±0.00004" (±1 micron) on both Z- and X-axes. Powerful AC brushless servo drives deliver rapid traverse rates of 945 ipm (24 m/min) in Z-axis and 630 ipm (16 m/min) in X-axis. A high-speed servo-driven turret reduces indexing time to just 0.2 seconds. The TC-150 includes a big swing range and 2" (51 mm) through-hole chucking for class-leading bar diameter capacity. Hydraulically actuated chucks are powered by single-range gearless spindle drive. High-torque spindle drive motors deliver 10 Hp (7.5 kW) MTDR spindle with 5,500 rpm; full Hp with 52 ft lb torque at 750 rpm. The duty rated spindle permits exceptional productivity with hard metals and high cutting loads. The Siemens A2100 is standard. Back to Top
Tooling Optimize Multitask Machining on Hawk TC-200M The Hawk TC-200M combines digital vector servo-axis drives, digital scales and live rotary tooling capability. Machine design includes maintenance-free linear guideway technology, which reduces stick-slip to ensure smoother processing at ±0.000040" micron-level repeatability. The servo-driven 12-station VDI turret provides bi-directional indexing.Turret indexing can occur on-the-fly without disengaging the drive. This results in rapid 0.3 second chip-to-chip times. The standard main spindle has a full-contouring C-axis drive with resolution of 0.001°. Rapid axis traverse rates are 944 ipm (24 m/min) in Z and 630 ipm (16 m/min) in X. The Hawk 200M features a hydraulically actuated chuck powered by single-range gearless spindle drive. High-torque spindle drive motors deliver 20 Hp with 103 ft lb torque at 750 rpm. The large thru-hole capacity allows processing 2.5" (65 mm) diameter bar stock. Maximum swing is 24.40" (620 mm). The Hawk 200M has a cast iron base reinforced at key points for optimum stiffness and vibration damping. Chip removal efficiency is facilitated by the machines 45 degree slant bed design. A tailstock with programmable quill is standard. The GE Fanuc 21i-TA CNC is standard. Back to Top |
